Our Mission
There's too much software hype and not enough honest information. Every tool promises to change your life, dashboards are filled with impressive-looking demos, and pricing pages hide what you actually need to know. We built PicksLab to cut through that.
The PicksLab team independently tests software tools, digital products, and gear. We buy the subscriptions, run the real workflows, break the edge cases, and shoot straight with you. No PR pitches influence our ratings.
What We Cover
We started with software tools โ writing assistants, SEO platforms, image generators, developer tools โ and we're expanding into hardware, productivity gear, and anything else our team is actually using. If it's useful and worth reviewing, we'll cover it.
How We Review
Every review on this site follows a consistent process:
- Real hands-on use โ We actually use the tools in real workflows, not just feature demos
- Structured testing โ We define what we're testing before we start, not after
- Transparent scoring โ We rate on features, ease of use, value, and actual output quality
- Regular updates โ Tools change. We revisit reviews when products ship major updates
Our Team
PicksLab is run by the team at Thrasosoft, a software development studio. We bring real technical depth to every review โ we build software, we use software, and we can tell the difference between something polished and something that just looks polished in a demo.
How We Make Money
Transparency matters to us. This site is supported through affiliate partnerships โ when you click a link and purchase a product, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
This never influences our reviews or rankings. We recommend tools we genuinely believe in, and we clearly disclose all affiliate relationships. Read our full affiliate disclosure for more details.
